What is the proper method to drain my whirlpool tub after each use?

Is it enough to simply drain the water in the main part of the tub or do I have to drain the water in the jet tubes as well? If so, how should that be done? I hesitate to run the jets when there is no water in the tub. Stephen - What is optimal? You say I will be OK leaving water in the jet tubes, but I want to know what is the correct method.
