How would you react if your child decided not to go to a 4 year college, instead opting?

...to get training for a specialized career? For instance: electrician, plumber, or nurse? Coltqueen- My sister in law is a registered nurse. She in fact, is an ER nurse, and did not got to a 4 year school. Her younger sister is going to be one as well...and is not planning to get a 4 year degree.
