My sister wants me to ask this for her. She has a house that was built in 1956. It has galvanized pipes that have likely been there since the house was built. As a result, she has lousy water pressure. We know that at some point all the pipes will need to be replaced. But that's just not feasible right now since it's so expensive (we know, we've talked to a plumber). Is there anything that she can do now to get rid of the sludge or build-up in order to increase her water pressure? I don't mean just Drano or getting one of the drains snaked. But something that would last for a few months or even a year or two. Or even close to that? Any ideas? We would very much appreciate the help.
