How can I make my Delta tub faucet stop dripping?

I have a Delta single handle tub/shower faucet. Recently it started leaking from the spout after I turn it off and it will not stop. It is a slow steady drip and I have tried turning it off in a few different positions and it continues to drip. Is there a fix to this or does the faucet have to be replaced?
