Has anyone every used a flexible hose on their sump pump?

I have just installed a backup sump pump in our basement but i used a flexible hose instead of pvc and i ran it into our main dischage pipe.Has anyone else ever used a flexible hose on their sump pump?Is it safe? here is the hose i am using--- http://www.pump-flex.com/ Is it safe?Thanks.
