can I move my bathroom sink a few inches without having to do major plumbing?

I am remodeling my bathroom and want to move the sink area over by a few inches. I am not handy at all so I'd like to know if it's possible to move the location of the sink by just redoing the plumbing underneath the sink that attaches to the sink bottom. I have a bowl sink that is set into a vanity. I am hoping to move the location of the new vanity over by a few inches so that means the current plumbing under the sink will be off. How easy is it to get everything realigned?
