My 2000 Nissan Frontier has given me no problems till now, it has only required oil changed a ste of brakes and a regular tune up since I puchased it in 1999. I had noticed last summer that the a/c was not cooling as well as before, since it was at the end of the season, I did not look at following up on it, this year I turned my a/c and found it still had some cooling but afer several trip the a/c has now failed. I added freon and it worked for one day, the next day it was dead. I followed up by getting a vacuum done and adding the recommended amounts, the a/c worked fine but it had a humming sound, the a/c again worked for only one more day. ok assume a leak, where do I start, I heard about a dye does it work adn how does it work in leak detection?
