If sewer backs up 1 1/2 weeks after plumber cleans out what could be wrong. I believe pipes are clay pipes st?

I have paid out over 600.00 in the past 18 months to keep this line open. One plumber came out and it stayed open for 9 months but now I am back to almost weekly backups. Will running scorching hot water down sewer help?
