I recently had a water heater installed in Georgia and unlike the original one the plumber did not set the new one up on legs off of the spill pan. I have heard that it is supposed to be 18" off of the floor, but I have not been able to confirm that yet. Can someone point me in the right direction to finding the code please? I live in Gwinnett county. I forgot to say that it is a gas heater.
