How much is reasonable for a plumber to connect the gas line to dryer?

I bought a new gas dryer. The gas line is already there on the wall, he just needs to connect the dryer to the gas line. Additionally, it's already vented and leveled. I was quoted $300 by a local plumber. Is it just me, or is that outrageous? Thanks!
