My 112-year-old Victorian house is in desperate need of plumbing, electrical wiring, carpentry and painting. I've gone through the yellow pages, trade papers, and even Service Magic. Some contractors never show up and some look at the work I need and tell me it's more than they want to get involved with. The few that have excepted work have done such poor jobs, it's like I never had the work done. What is their problem? I'm running out of people to contact. What can I do?
