the lizard died from a seizure at least it seemed so. Can lizards die from dehadration? It was a basilisk,2mth

The lizard was about 1-2 months old and was a plumbed basilisk. It started to act very strange a day or two before it died. It wouldnt open its eyes or just one eye would open, it would hardly move , stopped eating, ect. Could this have been from dehydration? The day it died it started to move in a very strange manner and its body kept locking up as if it were a seizure or something and then the body just stopped moving and went stiff.
