When I rented my current residence my landlord promised my basement was dry. Unfortunately it has been flooded most of this past year. My washer and dryer are down there and the drains are not proper and constantly flooding also. My landlord after a year and my loosing everything in the basement as a result of mold and mildew advised me I am responsible for the plumber she intends to bring in to solve the problem. Does Illinois law support this or what are my rights? Help please.
