I just bought a house that has a slight grade. Problem is, the sump pump is on the uphill side of the house and pumping water up, so the water eventually flows back towards the house and has to be pumped out again. As a result, the sump pump runs almost constantly. I was thinking of getting a ditch witch and running the pipe to a drainage ditch at the road, but that's a good 60 yards. Would this work? Anyone have a suggestion?
