Connecting an refrigerator icemaker, 1/4 line, seems to be lots more pressure than needed, is this OK ?

New refrigerator, new waterline, 1/4", stepped down from 3/4", to 1/2", then to 1/4". Pressure is very strong, is refrigerator plumbing built for this ? Icemaker ?
