Three year old submersible pump and older holding tank replaced

In July 2010 I had my well system converted from a jet pump in the basement to a submersible pump. Today I already had to have the pump replaced which was drawing a lot of current, but not running. I’m surprised the 20amp breaker didn’t trip, a hum could be heard from it....
