I am replacing a garbage disposal (old 1/2hp Kenmore with new 3/4hp Kenmore) but the waste line from the disposer is too short to reach ptrap. Went to HD with waste line and ptrap and they sold me an extension that will not fit into the ptrap (1 1/2" dia). Am I being stupid or...
