There should be some pre-finished looking plastic toilet bolt caps, that cover the toilet mounting bolts. "Joe" found this toilet to be lacking with the toilet bolt caps. it's not too difficult to install these nice looking plastic toilet bolt caps. The toilet bolt caps snap on, only if you install them properly! What else could you do, if the toilet bolt caps don't have the backing plate?.....well....... https
