Is $330 for a plumber too expensive for replacing a leaky pipe in the wall?

Had a plumber (roto-rooter) replace a leaky pipe in the wall. The piece of pipe was about 6 inches long. It took a little less than a hour. He used his blow torch on it. When I got the bill, it was $30 for the parts and $300 for the labor. The problem is, he didn't repair the hole in the wall since he's a plumber. I have to spend more money on a contractor to do that. Did I get ripped off?
