I'm writing a book that takes place in between 1932 and 1940; the two primary settings are northeast Tennessee and Christian County, Missouri (in the SW). I'm trying to find out what the percentages of households back then had indoor plumbing and/or electricity, and when those areas received those utilities. Unfortunately, census research seems to be turning up more generic information. Does anyone know where I can find more information please (or do you know the answers)? Many, many thanks!
