How would I know if plumbing was for me? What should I expect when I apply to go for plumbing?

i've been thinking alot lately about a tech school after high school and I wondered, "What would I expect if I wanted to go for plumbing?" I understand that they make good money, but I do not truly want to just go for it because of the money. I want to do something I like, so I ask you fine people, what should I expect? Edit: Yeah! I'm willing to get dirty, I really don't mind.
