How do you put in an access panel in the wall, to gain access to a valve?

We had some plumbing issues and had to have the drywall cut out to access a valve, we dont want to patch the drywall completely, but rather put in a access panel so that the valve will be accessible, can any tell me the type of panel to use and how to install it, or does anyone have any suggestions, they will be greatly appreciated.
