What would cause the hot water on my kitchen faucet to lose pressure?

A few months ago while doing dishes, my faucet just quit working. Water was barely trickling at best. My husband replaced the faucet and it worked for a while and now my hot water trickles, but the cold works fine and so does the sprayer. Help! :)
