***Sorry, I posted this earlier but meant to ask about a BUYER's agent and not a seller's. Didn't know how to edit *** What to look for in a Buyer's Agent??? What should I look for in a buyer's agent? I've only spoken with one and can't imagine others telling me anything different. Don't they all have access to the same database of houses? The agent I did speak with mentioned something about an 18 month "warranty" included if I decided to go with them. Didn't get the full details, but something to the effect that they will fix any plumbing, eletrical, etc issues at arrise in that time frame. I'm sure there's some kind of deductible... I've never heard of this type of warranty being provided by the agency. Thanks Thanks for the great responses so far... So when selecting a buyer's agent, do you think I should try to find someone who I feel is good at "haggling"/bargaining? Other than being comfortable with the person, are there any tangibles to look for or do they all basically provide the same service/product? Should I simply avoid new buyers agents? Is the MLS system an online database/site where agents login to use? If so, would it be unethical for the agent to let me browse through the MLS on my own? Thanks!
