Hello, How should a tenant doing repair work in the property be compensated? For example, he recently suggested to cover an open sump pump in the basement and will do that shortly (following a requirement from the insurance company). Not a huge work (worth around $150 I'm guessing if you call a plumber), but still how should he be compensated? he is not asking for money unless he buys material? What's behind the curtain? THANKS.
