So I heard my sump pump start running today. It doesn't usually run but we had a bunch of snow and it is melting now. When it didn't stop, I checked it out. It had tipped over and the float was stuck on the side of the pit and couldn't drop down. I tried to set it back up but it kept tipping over. I pulled it out and poked the bottom of the plastic pit with a stick. There is a big bulge on the bottom. It sticks up a few inches, making it impossible for the pump to sit flat. Ever heard of this? Suggestions?
