has any used multi-layer composite (MLC) pipes for plumbing?

My current pipes are copper and they have corroded after only 10 years (they weren't sleeved properly to begin with and I think they may have been laid when the screed was still damp). One plumber strongly recommends putting new MLC pipes into the floor. An architect has told me to use plastic and to put the pipes into the walls and ceilings, avoiding the floor. Does anyone have experience with this? The MLC are manufactured by a German company called Uponor. One of the other problems with my copper pipes is that the have joints everywhere, and I want to avoid this with the new pipes. I've heard MLC doesn't have joints. Any insights are welcome!
