How do you clean old poop from the toilet bowl?

we just bought a new house and I just noticed that one of the toilets has dried, hard poop stuck to it. I've tried pine sol, bleach and every other toilet cleaner and I can't get it off. Any suggestions? Sorry to be so gross!
