What can you use to clean stubborn stains in a bath tub and shower floor that's made of fiberglass?

The house was built in 93, the bath tub and shower floor does not have the smooth surface that tubs and shower floors have today. You can scrub and sometimes it seems that stains are kind of stubborn to come out.
