Isn't it nice living at the peak of humanity?

I'm glad I live in this day and age. We are lucky enough to be living in a time when the generations before us came up with everything we eat and take for granted. Imagine a time before bread and pasta? Cakes and chocolates? Alcohol and tobacco? Electricity and indoor plumbing? Butter? Vinegar? Cheese? All those things were either discovered accidentally or through a lengthy process of trial and error.
