How much would it cost to replace pipes in a shower?

I am looking for a house to buy and I found one I really like for a low price. The largest problem is that someone knocked a huge hole through the wall in the shower and took all the shower plumbing, pipes etc. I don't know too much about home repairs, so could someone tell me - how much on average would this cost to repair/replace? (Just worried about the pipes for now, not the wall. It would be hard to live in a house where you can't wash.) Thank you!
