Can the Republicans plumb new depths of moral bankruptcy?

The Republicans and their corporate backers are smearing the British NHS in an effort to undermine Obama's health plans. Their lies have been countered in the British media, so do you think they will react by inventing new scare stories? "Claims by US conservatives about the NHS and how President Barack Obama's health care reforms will be bad for America have been rebutted in Britain." http://www.telegraph.co.uk/health/healthnews/6018237/Barack-Obama-health-plan-how-US-Right-wing-claims-about-NHS-have-been-answered.html "Professor Stephen Hawking defended the National Health Service from attacks by the American Right, claiming that he would not be alive without it." http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/northamerica/usa/6017878/Stephen-Hawking-I-would-not-be-alive-without-the-NHS.html "When US Republicans attacked the NHS this week, its supporters used Twitter to fight back" http://www.guardian.co.uk/lifeandstyle/2009/aug/13/nhs-twitter-defence Edit @Prince of Madness: the Repugs are scaremongering and spreading blatant untruths, hence moral bankruptcy. @kpk02: I didn't claim the NHS is perfect - no health care system is - my point was the Repugs are telling blatant lies. I don't know the specific case about the liver transplant you refer to but he probably had liver cirrhosis through alcoholism, so if this was the case he would be refused a transplant unless he stopped drinking as he would otherwise just destroy his new liver and need a new one in a few years. @TOm S: My point was, the Repugs are telling bald-faced lies. I thought I made it clear. @beach heaven: Which MP? Not all of them would support the NHS. We Brits have right-wing crazies too.
