Grohe cartridge stuck

I have a Grohe Tenso faucet. It is leaking so I am attempting to change out the cartridge. I have the schematics and have gotten to the cartridge. However, the schematics make it appear that the cartridge should just lift out. It does not.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
