Is there any thing better to seal threaded copper fitting to bronze valve other than teflon tape tried numerous times but still have a small drip at the joint

How do I clean mildew from my shower tile?

We have a tub/shower that has mildew around the caulking. I realize I will probably need to strip and replace it, but I see that it is also starting up the tile in the grout. Is there any way to take care of this w/o replacing the tiles? Aslo, how can I stop this from happening? My bathroom has no fan to run during showers, it does have a window which we can open when it's nice, but I don't really want to open it in the middle of winter.

How often does one have to use a toilet ?

I use my toilet once every two or three days. Is it normal ? As far as i know people use toilets every day. What would you suggest to do in order to treat that problem? Please write your idea, thanks a lot yahhooers!

Can I turn my sump pump off for a few hours?

What is the best way to clean old galvanized drain? I have run a small 25" snake through a couple of times, but it seems to clog up every once in a while, especially if no water ran through for a day or two

Question to the plumbers or those who ever called them... :D?

I have a clogged bathtub drain... I tried pretty much everything, but it still gets clogged every 3/5 days... I hope it's hair. I never called plumbers be4... so can anyone tell me, please, if "unclogging" is usually very long, tiresome and time-consuming job or is it just about removing a hairball?.. :D Well, what should I prepare myself (and my wallet) 4? I have followed the drain line all the way to the first connection to the main no other drain showing any problems. Can this be a air flow problem or what else can it be? I have a dishwasher that drains through the sink. I am really baffled. I need help.
